Natalie Nguyen

PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST 

ABOUT NATALIE

Natalie is a provisionally registered psychologist who is currently completing her fifth year of Master of Educational & Development at Monash University. She has worked several years in the disability support sector, assisting clients with physical disabilities as well as mental health and learning difficulties such as depression, anxiety, intellectual disability. She has also organised community events aimed at promoting mental health literacy and social belonging in young people, specifically the international student community in Melbourne. 

 

Natalie adopts a client-centred therapeutic approach with adolescents and young adults to address their concerns and help them thrive during these pivotal developmental years. For psychological intervention, she adopts the Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approaches. She is also passionate about helping clients to identify their learning strengths and weaknesses via cognitive assessments and to provide tailored recommendations. Natalie is dedicated to fostering a safe space for clients from diverse cultural and social demographics. 

 

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys exploring and cooking different cuisines, as well as reading and exercising.
